2023 EWS SWE Framatome Scholarship
General Information
The Eastern Washington Section of the Society of Women Engineers administers a $500 scholarship funded by Framatome Inc. The scholarship is awarded annually to a qualified female engineering student in the rising-sophomore or above classification of undergraduate or graduate school.

The application needs to be completed electronically, via the online form.
Required Application Materials
All application material will become the property of the Eastern Washington Section of the Society of Women Engineers. No application materials will be returned. In order to be accepted for judging, all of the following materials must be submitted:
Evaluation and Award
Women working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree are eligible. Financial need and academic successes will be considered but will not be a final, determining criteria. The applicant’s affiliation with Framatome (e.g. internship, summer job or family member employed by the company), motivation, leadership potential and ability to follow projects through to completion will heavily influence award selection.

Note:
1. Application must be electronically submitted by March 31, 2023. Please do not send the application by mail.
2. Selection of award recipient will be made by May 31, 2023.
3. A letter of announcement will be sent to all applicants by July 10, 2023.
4. Award will only be granted after a statement of acceptance has been received from an accredited education institution including acceptance in an engineering curriculum or a statement of “good standing” from the Department head, the Dean, or the Registrar for recipient currently enrolled.

Eligibility
- Be a female student who has completed at least one-year studies in an ABET accredited school with the intention to enter the field of engineering.
- Be in position to accept the scholarship toward undergraduate or graduate engineering studies in an accredited school in the fall following presentation of the award.
- Be a woman residing in or attending school in the eastern part of Washington State.

Required Application Materials

- Application Form: to be completed electronically.
- Transcripts: Scanned official copy of the applicant’s transcript showing grades for the entire enrollment in current and/or prior college(s).
- One letter of reference from a professor, faculty advisor, or workplace supervisor/manager.
